Unlocking the Potential: Penetrating the Global Defence Supply Chain

Summary

While it strives to export more finished products with optimum value-added criteria, it is important for Indonesia’s defence industry to set a short-medium term target to increase its share in the global supply chain. However, achieving this target would also require domestic defence companies to upgrade their production facility, obtain certain certifications, and acquire new technologies to meet international standards for quality, reliability, and delivery times. On the other hand, Indonesia’s defence industry possesses several advantages that can contribute to capturing a larger market share globally, including cost competitiveness in production and direct access to essential raw materials.
