In his latest article published by CNBC Indonesia, our defence expert, Alman Helvas Ali, highlights that the Law No.11/2020 or Omnibus Law, revises several parts of the Law No.16/2012 on Defence Industry, including foreign investment opportunities. However, M. Ali argued that there are at least five main challenges which are hampering foreign direct investment (FDI) in the sector, including defence technology security (DTS) and budget constraints.
