How AUKUS Nuclear Submarine Pact Affects Indonesia

In a recent article published by @jakpostimages, the co-president of the Centre for Strategic Studies of the Indo-Pacific (@cesip_fr) @hugo_vjt and our lead analyst for maritime security and counterterrorism @aandiraihanahh argued that the growing #StrategicAnxieties in the #Indo-Pacific should lead Indonesia to address its naval modernisation gap in order to increase its deterrence capacities, to protect its sovereign interests.

To do so, it is critical for Jakarta to carefully select procurement programmes that could improve the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) maritime surveillance and strike capabilities.
