Indonesia’s defense budget in the 2022 Draft State Budget and Expenditure (RAPBN) -amounting to Rp133.9 trillion- has decreased compared to the allocation in the 2021 APBN (Rp137 trillion). Such conditions are not encouraging when Indonesia is completing the last phase of the Minimum Essential Force (MEF), especially considering that as of December 2020, MEF plan achievement only reached 62.31% of the 100% target in December 2024.
