Lessons from the Iran–Israel War & Red Sea Attacks: Reassessing Missile Threats & Mobile Defence

Summary

In our webinar, “Operational Lessons from the Iran–Israel War and Red Sea Attacks: Reassessing Ballistic Missile Threats and the Imperative for Mobile Defence in Archipelagic Indonesia,” we discussed how the recent conflict between Israel and Iran with the use of ballistic and cruise missile technologies in modern warfare has reinforced the reality that no region or platform is immune from such threats. Considering Indonesia’s vast territory, defence against missile threats is an important aspect that needs to always be considered. Also learning from the 12-day conflict, we will also discuss Indonesia’s future air defence procurement and its strategic considerations.
